Bayside Booksellers
We've just opened our first bookshop in Parkdale, Victoria. Bayside Melbourne has some great little second-hand bookshops. So if you're heading down our way we recommend you visit the following friends of ours

We're just across from the train tracks on the smaller side of Parkdale shopping centre. Our comfy little bookshop has lots of space for you to stretch out and have a browse. We've got a great range of biographies,true crime, horror, popular fiction and crime fiction. We've put a selection of our huge romance collection (also available online at justromance.com.au) in the back corner, you can grab an ottoman and sit down to check our your favourite regency authors. You'll find a huge selection of fantasy and sci-fi books, from classics to current popular authors and everything in-between. Our childrens section has a good range of chapter books, picture books, and bargain early readers and board books. We've also got a range of new childrens books at bargain prices at the front of the shop.
We're open six days a week, Tuesday to Sunday.

Alan and Anne have just moved from their old premises in Mordialloc to a huge new shop in Mentone.They're just at the back of the Safeway carpark in the Florence Street shops.
Light and bright, Diversity has a great selection of old books, some lovely non-fiction titles and a great range of used fiction. There's a nice selection of old childrens books, plus current popular children's authors. There is also a great collection of vinyl for you to hunt through. There's some comfy chairs around for you to relax in while you make your selections.
Alan and Anne open seven days a week, so pop on down after you've visited us, they're just down the road.
Out There Books
1 Railway Walk (Just off Charman Road), Cheltenham
The next station down takes you to Cheltenham, or you can turn down Balcombe Road onto Charman, about a five minute drive from Diversity. Steve's little shop is in the Taxi Rank strip as you get off on the Frankston side of the train station.
Steve's got one of the best sci-fi and fantasy collections this side of Melbourne, plus a good range of crime fiction, true crime, horror and popular fiction. So be sure to drop in to one of Baysides best-kept secrets!
Steve opens six days a week from Monday to Saturday.
Corner Lamp Books
36 Station Street, Moorabbin, 3189 PH: (03) 86858130
Two stations down or just up the highway you'll reach Moorabbin. Corner Lamp is just up a block from the station. Charlie has a fantastic range of literature, leatherbound, hardbound and paperbacks. He has good children's section with some really nice collectable authors. There is also a good range of crime, fantasy and true crime. Something to suit all tastes, and a great spot for the collector.
Charlie is open six days a week from Monday to Saturday.
Helena's Curiosity Shop

Be sure to look out for the a-frame outside, Helena is located in a little arcade off Centre Road, just 4 train stations down from Cheltenham, or just 15 minutes up the highway. You'll find a great table of cheap popular fiction outisde to browse through. Inside there is a great big bookcase of nice children's
books, and an excellent range of paperback classics. You'll find an excellent range in this tiny shop, from hardcover biographies and modern firsts, to old leather bound poetry and antique collecting books. There's also a lovely range of bric-a-brac.
Helena is open all day Wednesday to Saturday, and will be there a few hours in the afternoon usually on Mondays and Tuesdays. You can call before you pop in.

Drive up Centre Road to Hampton Street, you'll find Ailsa and Greg past the railway tracks towards the beach. The front room has a great collection of old books, some beautiful leather-bound titles and Australiana books. There's a good range of paperback fiction, and the fireplace room has a gorgeous collection of old kids books.

Turn left down beach road and drive onto Sandringham. Phillip is located in the Bay Road strip in the Sandringahm shopping center. The original owner of the Kill City crime bookshop, Phillip has just opened Sandringham books. The front room has a beautiful selection of hardcover non-fiction, and you'll find lots more upstairs. There's some brand new books imported from the US, you'll find a nice range of fantasy and paranormal romance books. There's a great room with bargain-price fiction out the back as well.
